How to switch from POP to IMAP without losing folders etc?

I am about to set up a new (Win 11) computer and it seems like a good opportunity to switch from POP to IMAP since 20+ years of work emails take up a lot of storage space! 1. Is there a way to do this without losing all the files and folders (and automations?) I already have set up? Or will I need to re-set these up manually and effectively end up with an archive version of those folders from POP on my computer plus a new IMAP version of each one?
