How to retrieve Network Adapter on my Acer Travel Mate?

My Acer Travel Mate B514-31 is not connecting to wifi. I tried to uninstall the network adapter and restart my laptop as many have said would work but now the adapter is gone and not reinstalled like it was supposed to and now i dont have wifi. What can i do
