how to put c drive files back in their correct folders

helpI called myself trying to get rid of duplicate files. in c drive, i searched .pdf then I selected all, cut them pasted to documents. realized i screwed up royally (MY work computer) then i separated the files in documents cut the ones that did not belong there and pasted them back to c drive = colossal error.how can i fix this
