How to open a .jar file

[Windows 11]

When I'm trying to open this file (.jar) its opening with my current browser opera gx's logo besides it. When I go into my files and find the download, open it, it just loops back to the download thing and doesnt fix. I've downloaded java because i've seen people opening .jar files with java but when i download java it doesnt give my the option to set it to my .jar files default. Can someone give me some help with this
