how to move the taskbar to the left side of the screen?

Does this still not work? Is this setting still not available which was present since Windows 95? I can not upgrade from 10 to 11 on my private PC and I switched from 10 to Linux at work because of this. It is mandatory to place the taskbar on the (left) side. Especially since I use ultra wide screens. Bottom and top position is only usefull on 4:3 screens or in portrait mode. I use this on Windows since Windows 7 to gain more height for applications.
