How to install and play Old PC games with the disc. Keep receiving an error.

I have some old PC games that I want to play. I have a new ACER computer running Windows 11. I keep getting the error: The code execution cannot proceed because ResampleDmo.DLL was not found.I have reinstalled the program, manually downloaded the DLL file, and put it in the Windows32 folder, but I still haven't had any luck. Please help!
