How to I install Windows 11 on my rebuilt Windows 10 machine?

I had Micro Center install a new motherboard & processor in my Windows 10 desktop. It runs OK but wants me to "Activate" Windows. I contacted Microsoft Support but was not successful. I did learn that this is a licensing issue. I do have the Windows 10 product key, and learned somewhere that with that I should be able to download & install Windows 11 free. Can someone here provide step-by step instructions?
