how to get proper account security

I am someone that is relatively cautious about their online accounts. After my 30 years of being "online" I don't even need a full hand to count the number of times I've had "suspicious activity detected" on one of my many email, subscription, or other online accounts ...... Until I've installed windows 11. And now my microsoft account (the one that I was Required to make in order to access my single use, non-transferable license to rent, etc, etc, etc the operating system that I exchanged real US dollars for) has been compromised for the third time in the last six months.
