How to get diacritics (dot below the letter) for consonants viz d, t, h, s etc. with Right 'alt' tab? The facility has suddenly stopped on my computer

I have been using Right 'alt' tab for adding 'Diacritic' to a letter. For all vowels I have been getting correct diacritic as desired viz, ā, ē, ī, ō, ū. However, I am not getting diacritics (dot below the letter) for consonants viz d, t, h, s etc. Earlier this problem was not there but probably it might have been started when I updated 'Windows 10' recently.
