Hello,
We're having an issue when users fail to authenticate in our domain using their smart card to login which is their smart card ID (ex: GZ123456789) in the Active Directory"User logon name" field and their regular user name (ex: john.doe) in the Active Directory "User logon name (pre-Windows 2000)" field we get failed authentications that sometimes shows the smart card ID in the event log instead of the regular user name.
The Event ID that issues the smart card ID instead of the "User logon name (pre-Windows 2000)" is 4673 and when we receive the correct Event ID upon logon failure its generated in Event ID 4625.
Any reason why this randomly happens?
