How to Fix Integrated Camera?

Hi, I recently found out my laptop's camera is no longer functioning and I'm not sure how to fix it. When I open the camera app, the camera light turns on, but then turns off and shows a black screen. There was an error message at one point, but I did not have a chance to write it down.I do not believe this has to be a camera setting issue since it was enabled.
