How to disable co-pilot from showing up in my docouments

The copilot icon is in word document. I DO NOT WANT IT TO BE IN THE DOCUMENT.I don't care that it shows in the ribbon, I just don't want it following me around in the document.I tried uninstalling and all that accomplished was removing it from the taskbar.I could not run the gpedit, received an error message.Please help!
