I used the site mail-signatures.com to create an HTML signature. However, when I go to File > Options > Mail > Signatures, and paste the HTML into the composition box, it shows the raw html code when I insert the signature when composing a message.
If I copy the html directly into .../AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/Signatures/mysig.htm. It works (sort of). So question #1, is there a way to use this template via Outlook's Signature creator?
Second issue: within that created HTML signature, I have an embedded graphic (<img src="data:image/png;base64, ...). That does not show. When inserting the signature in a new email all I get is a red X where the graphic is supposed to go. Are embedded images in signature files not supported? Not a big deal if not because it appears that Outlook will auto-embed the signature from an image file located in .../Signatures/mySig_files/, but that means I have to modify the created template. If Outlook would support this, I'd prefer.
