How to convert vcf to something that xls can read ?

Hello everyone - I have a group too many to type easily of contacts in a vcf file - used by Macs for contacts. I want to export it as a csv comma separated value so that I can import it into the new donor database. Here is my problem: I can not export the file from Contacts in csv format. Does anyone know a clever way to reformat the vcf file into a csv file?
