This is a broad question, but I need some tips to get started. Our office currently uses a mixture of Outlook 365 and Thunderbird email clients, all running on Windows 10. They connect to a local IMAP server and local CalDAV server. We have decided to convert all workstations to use Outlook.
Wrinkle #1 is that Outlook does not support CalDAV. To do that we have been using a plug-in: CalDavSynchronizer. But there are usage idiosyncrasies that users find too frustrating. So, we want to go with Outlook calendars as well. As I understand it, shared calendars in Outlook are only accessible if all users are using Outlook and the email server is Exchange. So, first of all, is that right?
If so, we'll need to convert from our internal IMAP server to Exchange. The choices here are 1) local Exchange server running on Microsoft Server. 2) Exchange in the cloud.
Big Question: how do I get our office's email into the "Cloud"?
