How, if at all, am I able to change one particular long file name that refuses to change?

I have a certain wma file whose name is too long for the file to play. I had the same length problem with quite a few of the other files in this folder, but I was able to change them with no problem and they all play just fine. I can change the name of this particular file using the details tab in properties, but not in the general tab. Every time I try to edit it, it just reverts back to the original name. I don't get an error message when I try to change the name, it just doesn't change. Neither of my media players will play it. Cyberlink Power DVD21 just goes back to its sign on screen when
