How do you recover lost unsaved text in Notepad?

I had typed a text on Notepad and highlighted it to copy. In copying, I accidentally typed Ctrl + V instead of C, and the whole text disappeared. I have tried retrieving it by going into Explorer and typing in the search box .txt and checking by date, and it is not there. I also typed in Notepad in the search box and had the same result. Whenever I opened the files, I had all kinds of unreadable material written down on the page,I then decided to use Recuva. The files were listed by date, and when I tried to read them, Unreadable material popped up.Before employing the above to read the files,
