How do you prevent Microsoft Office icons from pinning to Outlook New?

Hello, I have recently started using Outlook New, and during my experience, I have unpinned the MS Office icons from the lefthand bar. However, they continue to re-pin themselves whenever I boot up my laptop and open Outlook. Is there a way to get them to stay unpinned?
