How do l unlock my laptop when it doesn't give me the buttons to put my pin or password?

Hey guys. My laptop doesn't want to sign in. It gives me the sign in button and after that the pin and passwordbuttons are not there and when ever l tap the button it take me back to the screen before the sign in screen. I have missed 2 days of school because of this problem. Can anyone please help me.
