How do I remove the album art on songs that I set myself?

So about 2-3 months ago, I decided to download respective album art for all my 165 songs and use iTunes to edit the properties (so that when I sync the music to my iPod classic, the songs' individual album art show up). But after realising that it makes my laptop lag and it takes up extra space, I want to remove the album art now. How can I remove the said album art I set without having to spend too much time or effort?Thanks,Aayushman
