How do I permanently disable Number Lock?

My laptop has a number pad on the righthand side. In addition to the numbers, it has functions, like: Home, End, Page Up, Page Down, etc. I do not need to use the Number Pad; I use the numbers at the top of the the QWERTY keyboard. Instead, I want to use the other functions associated with the Number Pad. However, I frequently hit the Number Lock key by accident while typing, which (of course) turns on the Number Pad. So, when I go to use Page Up in a document, it types instead the number, "9."How do I permanently disable the Number Lock, so that it does not turn on the Number Pad? I do
