How do I make media player remember recent playback and app settings?

How do I make media player remember recent playback and app settings?With groove music I was able to set the playback to (replay all), and every time I open the app those settings would remain. Also, I always had groove music on the (music - songs) screen, so that I can switch between files easier.How do I do this with media player?
