how do i keep the same display settings every time i unplug my laptop

[Windows 11]

i only have a monitor i use at home and when i go to work i take my laptop with me. i usually have it set to extend displays but when i plug my laptop back in it reverts back to duplicate screens. is there any way i can fix this? im on windows 11 and i dont want to have to fix my settings every time i plug it back in. this wasnt as issue on my old windows 10 laptop and im using the exact same setup too (with a new laptop)
