how do i install on a new laptop an old Microsoft store app that is no longer available in the store

I have an app on my current laptop that I use, but its been discontinued in microsoft store. Its not a .exe so I cant just save and download it anywhere. I can see it in User/appdata/local/packages - is there a way to get it to the new laptop and have it work? I can copy the folder to a hard drive, but how do I get it work or will it?
