How do I hide the voice typing launcher bar on top of the screen when I am not typing?

I have turned on voice access typing but it leaves a bar on top of the screen that I just can't seem to turn off without completely disabling voice access typing? How do I make it so that the voice access typing launcher bar at the top of the screen only appears when I am focused on a text box?
