How do I get rid of Windows Designer and get the old version back?

The photos app has changed, and the button to edit opens Windows Designer, which is absolutely horrible! It only opens one photo at a time, and the edits are super slow and tedious. I do not like using anything cloud-based for this reason and have followed the directions I found online to open them with the regular editor, but it hasn't worked. I am on a time crunch to edit photos for a memorial video. How do I get rid of this program and use the regular one with basic cropping, straightening, enhancements, and spot fix?
