How do I get product key for free upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11

I have wasted a week trying to perform an in-place upgrade from a Windows 10 install to Windows 11, have had multiple failures and have gotten absolutely no assistance on fixing this.It looks like I will be forced to try a clean install. I did a clean install of Windows 11 for someone else and one of the first things the install program did was ask me for a product key, which I had from the CDROM they bought.However, if I try to find my product key for Windows 10 I'm told I have a digital license, which I have no idea where that may be.How do I get a license key so I do not have to pay again f
