How do I get my volume icon back on my taskbar?

Hi I am having issues trying to get my volume icon back onto my taskbar. I have tried several solutions after looking up the issue and have not found any that work. Under the "Turn system icons on or off setting" the volume icon is set to on but its greyed out. Any help or direction will be appreciate!!!What iv tried and have not worked:-Turning on and off icon (cant its greyed out)-Changing the font size to reset some settings
