How do I get my product key for windows to put onto a new motherboard?

I have my current PC that I bought pre-built from IBuyPower back in 2016/17. It had windows on it and I have a disc for the reinstallation. I don't know how the disc works, nor have I ever tried to use it (as I don't have a disk drive on this PC). When I try to find my windows key through the settings, it is not there. When I try to use the powershell commands I have seen on here, it does not show up. I am currently awaiting a new CPU/mother board to upgrade my PC a little bit and read that I would need the product key to get windows onto the new motherboard. I am wondering how I can one, actu
