How do I get my files back on my PC from Microsoft 365

I once had all my files on the pc. I used onedrive to share a few files with another computer. Recently I received notice that I did not have enough space in onedrive and files would no longer save. I found that somehow all my files were moved to onedrive and I can no longer find them on my pc. I signed up with 365 and now files are safe. I do not want or need my files on onedrive or 365. How do I get my files back on my pc so I can cancel Microsoft 365?
