How do I fix my computer not staying in sleep mode

My laptop won't stay in sleep mode. It won't automatically sleep at all. When I manually put it to sleep, the display comes right back on. I ran the powercfg - request, under DISPLAY and SYSTEM both have AppLaunce.exe as the issue. How do I fix this?
