How do i fix 'blue screen of death'?

hello, my laptop comes up with a black screen that says 'preparing automatic repair", which then proceeds to a blue screen that says 'your device has ran into a problem and needs to restart'. i can't turn my laptop on, the stop code is DRIVER VERIFY DMA VIOLATION. how would i fix this?
