How do I extend my Windows 11 laptop to 3 screens?

I have an ASUS laptop with Windows 11 installed. I am trying to extend onto 3 different screens (laptop and 2 monitors). I have a USBC to dual HDMI adapter which says that it is capable of doing this and extending onto 3 screens. However, i cannot seem to make it work. Each time i plug the 2 HP screens into the adapter they are blank and the only one that works is the laptop screen itself. Is there a setting i need to change on the laptop or the monitors?
