How do I assign static ip address to Canon printer

I am running Windows 11. I had to buy a new printer when I switched to Windows 11. I purchased the Canon g7020. It has been fine until two days ago. It works then later it will show it as offline. If turn off the printer and turn it on again, it will start working. Trying to use Canon website and Xfinity (my network and router supplier) to get answers. I guess when the printer enters sleep mode, it loses access to the wifi network. Been told to assign a static IP address, but I don't know even how to start. Can someone help witih this.
