I was running Windows 10 on an SSD. I recently upgraded to a NVME drive and installed Windows 11 on it from a USB that had the installation media on it from the tool I downloaded from the Microsoft website. I don't know if it matters but I also upgraded most of the other hardware as well (Motherboard, RAM, CPU and video card). Basically an entirely new PC minus the case and power supply. I logged into the new hard drive with my microsoft account and it is saying Windows is not activated and I need to buy a new product key.
