How do I activate my windows account after a computer reset

I reset my computer after having some issue's. After the reset it say "we can't activate Windows on this device because you don't have a valid digital license or product key".I got my product key using the command prompt and comes up with a window saying the same thing "we can't activate Windows on this device because you don't have a valid digital license or product key". I have tried it several times and made sure I put it in correctlyI don't know what else to do. from everything I read this should be working and it's not.
