How do disconnect from a Internet

Hi,Let explain simply what I meant in title. I want my computer to be disconnected from the Internet temporary. Windows Search is "indexing" my file. The process started 3 days ago and it takes forever.Have no idea what it really does when it is indexing my files, but it it's using bandwidth, that's for sure (yes the good ol' Task Manager told me).Concerned user,,
