How can you have a domain controller without ever having a domain connected to the computer?

For over a year, I have tried to add a domain to my computer. All the suggestions that are provided by the Microsoft Community are total fabrications. The solutions are non-existant. I have tried every single solution. Some maybe three or four times; but to no avail. The solution I find the most amusing is when they tell you to name your computer, and then add your domain through settings. B. S. There is no way to add my domain to Windows 11 Pro.
