how can I verify what app on my PC is pushing Windows to install .net framework

Windows update keeps messaging me that I have an app that requires .netframework to be installed. I'm unaware any apps I'm using require .net framwork. Is there any way to see what app is pushing the .net framework addition to make sure it's not maliciuous?
