How can I see the emails I get notifications about?

A box appears on the lower right corner of my computer screen telling me I've got an email. In the past, I could click on that box and get sent right to the email. Now, I get a message saying Windows Mail is no longer supported and it won't give me the option to get rid of that message so I can go ahead and read the email. If I look closely I can see which email service and then I can go to that service. If the email was received by Hotmail the solution is easy. However, Outlook will not display any other email services. Furthermore, I am without a way to send emails. If the web site gives me
