How can I recover a very important folder after I have re-installed windows 10 without saving my files?

I have re-installed Windows 10 and I forgot to save a very important folder, I could really use some help to recover that folder if possible. I have tried those "free" programs, which to ones credit, seemed to find the file but wanted a subscription fee just to get the one folder. I have also tried a method through the command prompt, but its much too confusing and I cant fully tell what I am looking at. I am running an MSI GF65 Thin 10UE 10500H / 3060 Max Q / 16GB DDR4 / 500GB NVMe and Western Digital 1000gb NVMe / 15.6 144hz
