How can I import Photos from Iphone 11 to Photos App in Windows 11? (2025)

Photos App (Windows 11) cannot import photos from Iphone 11 via USB connection even though I can see that my iphone is connected to the laptop in Apple Devices app and Windows Explorer. An error message was prompted "Please reconnect your device and try again. A notification has been sent requesting you to allow Microsoft Photos to access and import your photos." I don't think it's an apple support issue as they claimed that import of photos to Windows PC is available.
