How can i get past the log in screen when its stuck on administrator accounts.

I am trying to sign into my PC but the only accounts that show up are 2 administrator accounts and defaultuser0 and defaultuser1 I tried to reset the password so I could sign in to at least access a command prompt or something but using a password reset disk wouldn't work. Saying the phrase "An error occurred while the wizard was attempting to set the password for this user account." Any help i could find was only options given when im past the log in screen.
