My startup apps will struggle before becoming unresponsive: Discord's update window freezes 'mid spin', and Steam complains that the Steam web helper has stopped working. Windows will otherwise seem fine until one tries doing something. E.g., hitting CTRL + ALT + DELETE will prompt the cursor's 'loading spinner' for a while,
