How can i fix a pc with a blank screen?

Hi the screen is connected properly and i can access the troubleshoot menu but i cannot repair, reset or do anything that makes a difference on this page as it always says error. This is my sons pc and we have brought him a new monitor for a present but the actual pc is now broken
