When the laptop was working fine i had the idea to check use the memory diagnostic tool to check on some recent crashes, it was unnecessary but i did it anyway. It has been running for a while no with no end in sight. After a while i got bored of it and tried to abort only to find that aborting was now impossible, no matter how many times i pressed the cancel button it only restated the test. I tried turning it off and back on but it goes straight to the test again.
