How can I automatically save files to the last folder I used on my PC?

I've tried to find a "default save location" and cannot. I have Windows 11 home and current Microsoft Office 365 subscription. I want to have every document, picture, pdf, email, whatever it is I'm saving save to the Last Folder Used. I want all saves to save to the Last Folder Used until I choose to save a document somewhere else.This used to be the default and then it was changed in an upgrade. It's awful and wastes so much time.Thank you,Janis
