What is causing this problem?
How do i fix this problem?
LONG VERSION
My PC has been running fine until say about a week or two ago, approx. 11th - April - 2016.
I had recently had BIOS Vers. F1 when i first bought the mobo, i updated it to the latest BIOS Vers. F5, these are the only changes apart from 3 other things in BIOS that has nothing to do with system settings or performance.
Apart from the BIOS changes, nothing else has been touched or modified, the first time i got this problem i was playing my game Black Desert Online and i had a few other things open as well. Windows Media Player + MSI Afterburner + GA OC_Guru + GOOGLE (5 TABS) + Win10 Email Client + Skype + Norton Basic Antivirus and plus what ever none sense microsoft default services running in the background.
I had bought my PC around 2nd - February - 2016 and had basically all the above running fine, until one day around the 11th - April - 2016 my PC decided to want to lock up and freeze on me.
After it happening again i waited this time for a couple of mins to see what will happen before i hard boot my pc. Well after about a min or 2 i got a BSOD "MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION" error.
Now i decided to try out googling for the info, to find a fix but it appears that this problem is VERY difficult to try and solve. Out of the many of thousands of guides, tutorials & help documents there is no real good defying evidence of fixing this issue, HENCE the reason for this post.
After getting tired and frustrated of surfing, i decided to do it on my own, this is when i noticed that the only time when ever my PC would freeze and lockup, it was when the graph in MSI AfterBurner Pagefile Usage would hit its maximum peak of 8192mb.
MY TROUBLESHOOTING FINDINGS
1. i tried was increasing the PageFile size by doubling it. From this guide shown here. GUIDE
After changing the size, nothing seem to change it still locked up and froze, so went back into the settings and put them back to default how they were.
2. I then went on and tried to not have many programs running by accessing the "MSCONFIG" menu and limited the amount of programs to activate when windows loaded. Nothing seem to change it still locked up and froze, so went back into the settings and put them back to default how they were.
3. i then went and changed my BIOS from Vers. F5 to F1 (original setting). Then it worked!. I was so happy with joy i knew i could fix it. It wasnt until i shut down the PC and went to bed and waking up that following morning i switch on my PC went out for my morning wake up coffee & smoke, that when i came back it happened again.
4. So i thought stuff it ill reformat and see if that fixes it, Hmm, nope still the same.
5. Then i decided to contact microsoft chat support. Well that was a waste of time, because all they did was create another user account and told me to start using that. I told them that this aint going to fix the problem because this is a fresh install. So then they opened up MSCONFIG to change my start up, then i interrupted them and said (well i tried to) politely that you obviously arent paying attention to what im saying and your not helping me sort this out, so could you finish your session im done. pointless.
6. Then i decided to update my BIOS to Vers. F4. This has seemed to be doing ok, but not as well as it did before. I can at least run my game plus have around 2 or 3 things open without my PageFile Usage maxing out. But after roughly about an hour my PageFile Usage starts to creep up to the maximum again.
7. I then contacted Gigabyte Manufacture support, but i really dont think its a fault, but i thought if maybe they may know something that they would tell me. Im still waiting for an answer currently.
8. I then contacted Intel Manufacture support, but i really dont think its a fault, but i thought if maybe they may know something that they would tell me. Im still waiting for an answer currently.
9. I then googled again for answers and found this guide "Windows performance recorder" that was then i created an analysis report and came here to create this post.
Now, i want to know what in the **** is going on here and if anyone would know how can we fix this issue?
And do i have to do to get some answers on this matter?
