The security center is currently unavailable because the "security center"
service has not started or was stopped. Please close this window, restart the
computer ( or start the "security center" service ), and then open the
security center again.

Have restarted again and again but getting no where. Any ideas?

And......................

System has detected a number of active spyware applications that may impact
the performance of your computer. Click the icon to get rid of any unwanted
spyware by downloading an up-to-date antispyware solution.

Shield icon on bottom right of screen is flashing blue to red.

Also when I click on the icon it directs me to virusprotect pro.

Ran all my own antivirus and they say system is fine.

This is almost exactly what happened to me this morning! I had to run Spybot
Search&Destroy to get rid of the 21 malware/spyware/trojans running.... And
my McAfee had been disabled (??) somehow prior to the "hit".
Now all is well. I also found that the MS security update will now work,
that hadn't been recently.
Good luck!!
