Help my computer is blackscreening after games or intensives tasks. Does anyone know if it could be a software issue??

Hello I've been having some trouble with my PC. It has a constant issue where playing a game of any kind where the GPU usage spikes causes it to blackscreen. The fans will rev to high and stay that way until I emergency shutdown. On reboot it'll either work until I try launching a game again or worst case blackscreen on the login screen repeatedly. I can do a system restore and that solves the problem as long as the restore was before I caused the first blackscreen. I've tested my GPU on a separate PC so I'm sure it's not that device's fault. I tried a bunch of things a few months back
